HANDSCREW CLAMPS

FEATURES: These classic Handscrew Clamps are still made the old-fashioned way, still made in the USA. Clamping jaws are made from the finest grade of hard maple. True acme threads provide high strength, low thread friction, and excellent wearability. These threads have a double lead, allowing them to advance twice as fast as regular threads, for quick clamping.

SIZES: Choice of five sizes, from tiny to massive — see Dimensions page for part numbers:
 4" Jaw Length
 6" Jaw Length
 8" Jaw Length
 10" Jaw Length
 12" Jaw Length

CONSTRUCTION: Clamping jaws > Hard maple, oil finish. Spindles, bearing nuts, and handle ferrules > Steel, zinc plated clear chromate. Handles > Hardwood.

Step 1

Hand screw clamps adjust very quickly. Starting with the jaws parallel, grasp the two handles and rotate the clamp (much like pedaling a bicycle) until the jaws are open just barely wide enough for the thickness to be clamped.

Step 2

Leaving the center spindle stationary, turn the rear spindle counterclockwise to open the clamping jaws slightly wider in front. Slide clamp over the surface to be gripped.

Step 3

Again leaving the center spindle stationary, turn the rear spindle clockwise to tighten. The clamping jaws should now be parallel.
