SELF-TAPPING THREADED INSERTS

FEATURES: Self-tapping inserts install in a drilled hole. Excellent for thread reinforcement in soft materials such as aluminum and magnesium. For one-time, permanent installation. Made in USA.

SIZES: Available in a wide range of ID thread sizes from 1/4-20 to 3/4-10 (M6 to M16 in metric) — see Dimensions page for part numbers.

MATERIAL: 1117 steel, carburized-hardened, zinc or cadmium plated.

Step 1
Tighten nut against insert. Bolt should not extend beyond end of insert.

Step 2
Turn bolt head to thread insert into hole. Alignment is important while threading.

Step 3
Break nut loose while holding bolt.

Step 4
Back out bolt and nut.
